We all remember Web 2.0 right? Well, some of us. Many of my friends and co-workers were too young to appreciate the change it brought. Gone were static pages, sparkly fonts, and spinning GIFs. Web sites became web applications.

Well, web 2.0 is showing its cracks. Hell, some would say it has crumbled and fallen apart. A new version is needed. A lot of people feel this way. In fact, there's even the Web3 foundation dedicated to advancing this revolution. It's going to be decentralized; it's going to be democratic; it's going to be resiliant. It's not going to depend on or be controlled by any government, tech giant, political party, billionaire, or religion.

In fact, this blog you're reading is probably the most Web3 site you've ever encountered. It's compiled to Webassembly. It's served via IPFS. It doesn't even use jQuery.

It's an exciting time to be a developer, my friends. Buckle up.
